A FEW FIRSTS – Picture My week ( or two)

I am not sure why I didn’t manage to post my photos last week, the time just seemed to disappear ….

So here are a few photos from the last week or two.

: I ran my first Polymer clay workshop last week , which everyone seemd to enjoy.

: as well as finishing off some pieces for an exhibition in July

: I am addicted to making polymer clay flower at the moment

: Even my old wooden handled cutlery are getting a flowery look

: My mosaic sign has been grouted

: My neighbours have been busily digging up the first crop of potatoes

: They kindly gave me some. They are the loveliest neighbours.

: I joined friends for a swim at the river beach in Gois. The first of the year .

: and a friend and I went for a lovely long walk through the woods , where I continued snapping photos of all the wildflowers .

A friend and I visited a Food Fair In Arganil , where tradional Tasquinas( stalls) sold regional dishes , such as pigs ears , goat, and tripe.

We also visited the Parque BIologico In Miranda do Corvo

The park had animals that are native to Portugal - such as these Javali ( wild pigs)

The municipal pool and picnic area next door looked nice . I might head back there for a swim this Summer .

My first river beach picnic of 2014

: Early on in the week I spent a lovely evening with friends in Colmeal .

: On Tuesday my mystery plant started to flower.

: All the Spring flowers and new leaves have been inspiring me in my work room

: and I am pleased with how my jazzed up port glass turned out .

: On Sunday a friend and I went to the river beach at Varzea Pequena, for a picnic.

: it is one of my favourites. It has a nice café

: and a great picnic /BBQ area.

: and a few glasses of vinho verde

: It was time to laze under a shady tree, and admire the view

: whilst a few children braved the water ..

: Later we wwent walking and took some photos. thought this tree trunk looked like the face of a dinosaur

: and I came across another tree I didn’t recognise . Any ideas ?
