Picture my week 18th -24th September . Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn September 26, 2013 by portugalholidayguide Leave a comment The village street lights have all been renewed this week. We have more than ever. I counted 15 lights in a village of 10 people So we are ready for the darker Autumn/ winter nights which are fast approaching It was hard work removing the old posts, and the one opposite my house was particularly hard work ! and quite nerve wracking watching how close it got to my terrace ! I have started making my xmas cards … which always feels strange , when its 32 degrees outside but these snowflakes won’t melt ! I continued with my paintings of trees. This one has a feel of Autumn . I had my last Summer swim at a friends house … and my last Summer BBQ The villagers are busy harvesting food for themselves and their animals, before the Autumn rain arrives the apple trees in the village are full of fruit. and the figs are almost ready so armed with my step ladder I did a bit of harvesting myself … mmm apple crumble maybe ? The week has had lots of lovely sun sets I feel lucky to have such a lovely view from my window . Advertisements Share this:TwitterFacebookLike this:Like Loading...
